It's a two product system that is factory applied to all sides of approved wood components.

1. Product A: DOT Wood Preservative - Resists decay, destruction, and infestation from fungus and wood destroying insects including termites and carpenter ants.
2. Product B: Infusion Film - Is a water repellant, vapor permeable film that will resist moisture from seeping into the wood, all the while allowing water vapor to escape to maintain normal moisture balance. The film also allows the wood to resist mold and mildew growth.

Perfect Barrier System wood treatment is a pre-construction, factory applied process that is precisely applied with continual quality assurance monitoring.

Perfect Barrier Treated wood components have been tested to be non-corrosive to hot dip zinc galvanized steel wood truss component plates.

Perfect Barrier System treated wood components have no contributing vapor or gassing effects.

The Perfect Barrier System treatment does not change the normal lateral resistance or structural properties of wood. These properties remain the same as untreated wood.

Perfect Barrier System treated wood components (BluWood) can be glued, painted, stained, nailed, or cut in the same methods as untreated wood.

Perfect Barrier System treated wood components (BluWood) can be exposed to to normal exterior weather for up to six months.
